We all feel stress from time to time - it is normal after all , but when it comes to a point where you can not function from day to day without thinking about your stressful problem then it is time to address it:

Here a few Stress Management Tops Tips :

Accept that you cannot be in control of everything
As human beings we tend to want to try to control things, a small child pushes their boundaries so that they can test how much control they have.
Some people take control one step further, we refer to them as a control freaks but we all do it to a degree. 
Stress occurs when we want to control events or people and we can't, you can not control the weather, the time, past events, the universe, not even your partner.  We are all built as unique individuals and we make individual decisions.
By accepting that some things just are as they are -then the stress will fade

See what is good in a situation
let me give you an example:  My client is stressed due to severe money worries so I asked her,  "what is good about your finances?"
After answering a very strong NOTHING she thought about it and came up with some things that really surprised her:
I have no mortgage as my house is paid for
My husband can always get work
I have support from my family if I need it
There is always enough money for good wholesome food
I have some excellent investments that should come good in 10 years time

WOW - from saying NOTHING to a fantastic list - by making this list she felt lighter and less stressed.  She went on to make some better decisions to how she could make more money and save more money.

The old saying - count you blessings
By focusing on the good parts the harder parts of your day will seem tinier.  But you must be honest with yourself, Your life is not all doom and gloom
. See the good parts everywhere, You woke up ..Hey result!  You got dressed..hey result. 
We are brought up to focus on negatives - you go to school and your homework is marked for faults, you play games and there is a winner or a loser - rather than a participant who actually made it to the end of the game
You are a very lucky person who has a lot going for them - you may, at the moment,  just need to look a little harder than others


Relax
In this hectic life style that we have created for ourselves we spend little time relaxing and being quiet.
Up to the age of 30, I purposely didn't stay still so that I didn't have to think about things or make any life changing decisions - I just went with the flow (in some ways this is quite liberating, not knowing what will happen next in your life but can also lead you down some strange roads!) Anyway back to my point,  in my 30's I discovered that I needed to stop, relax and be quiet.  I learned how to meditate and found that being quiet and thinking is actually a rather good experience, but only if you do not dwell on the past (you can not control it)
- so relax, run a hot bath and have a soak, no music, just candles and drift away.
If you find that you are stressing about your problems stop it, take three deep breathes and say out loud - "this is my quiet time, my mind and my energy is quiet" keep breathing long and deep and relax.

Meditating is fantastic - put some really good meditating music on, close your eyes and just focus on your breathing in and out.  Keep your mind as free as you can, if you start to drift (and you will) then just concentrate back on your breathing.  Before I start meditating I always ask out loud what I would like an answer to (whether I am asking a God, the Universe or my sideboard -it is irrelevant) I ask and normally with in weeks an answer comes to me- now I am not saying that you will miraculously find $100K under you bed but what you will find is opportunities or new ideas spring up - it is down to you to keep your mind open and take action when they occur

Everything happens for a reason
Yes - it is another old saying but it is so true. 
A few years ago, I was looking to move home about 300 miles to be nearer my parents, have a change of life style and a lower mortgage.  I had an interview for a job that I thought was OK - I desperately wanted to move and would have taken any job at that time.  I had hyped myself up and I was really excited at the prospect of a new house and moving back to my old home town
..But then I didn't get the job! 
I was devastated, I was really disappointed and I started to get stressed about the whole moving issue.  Everything was getting on top of me, I was in debt with a huge mortgage, I wasn't finding my job rewarding, I felt that I didn't have any friends where I was living -the world was just grey and miserable!
1 month later, my manager at work got promoted and I was asked to cover his position for 4 weeks,  In this 4 weeks I learned so much and proved to my upper managers that I would be excellent in the role permanently..hey presto I had a promotion and a #16 (yes #16K!)  pay increase - that was more than the job was paying that I had applied for.  So from that point everything changed, I focused on how happy  I was that I didn't get that other job, I arranged to visits my parents more regularly (having more money to pay for travel) and I sorted out my finances and social life ....If I had got that other job ???
Well who knows, Everything happens for a reason - you just don't always find out why straight away
- Some things that happen are like a stone thrown into a lake, the ripple effect goes on and on in the water.
So next time some thing happens that you are disappointed about consider the different opportunities that are going to come a long instead

Nothing lasts for ever
Nothing does - we all are born and we will all die, everything in the universe is created and will, one day cease to be.
What ever stress that you are feeling, it will not, cannot stay the same for ever.  You know that some days are better than others. 
By deciding and making some little changes in your life your outcome will be effected.
If a sailing boats changes it course by just 1 degree, the boat will head for a completely different port.  It is the same for your life
But you need to take action - you need to decide to do things a little differently.
Change how you react, change what you do, what you say, what you think, who you listen to.  Change is easy as long as you take little steps, chunk up what you are changing, little by little things will change.
